QBC Diagnostics Releases LED Upgrade Kit for ParaLens Fiber Optic Box Users

Port Matilda, Pennsylvania, March 17, 2011 -  QBC Diagnostics is pleased to announce the release of the ParaLens LED Upgrade Kit, a bundled system designed to transition users of ParaLens fiber optic light boxes to LED fluorescence.

The kit (Part No. 424343) features the same LED light source currently used with the new ParaLens Advance system, along with an AC to DC power pack and international plug adapters, packaged in a hard shell case.

LED fluorescence microscopy has demonstrated improved detection of many infectious diseases, and has been recommeded by the World Health Organization for tuberculosis screening.  The included LED light source is as bright as a 100 Watt mercury vapor bulb, yet is far more durable and longer-lasting, with an expected life of 20,000 hours.
